Knowledge Exchange – September 30, 2025

Our final Knowledge Exchange will be held on September 30, 2025, the day before the conference, at the Toronto Airport Delta Hotel. The goal for this Knowledge Exchange event will be to share project successes, lessons learned, and next steps.

We are also pleased to host all community of practice members for a final dinner and banquet at the hotel that evening after the knowledge exchange.

We are asking that each project prepare a brief 5-minute presentation with 5 slides:

  1. Slide One: Title of project
  2. Slide Two: Reach of your project
  3. Slide Three: Lessons learned – what you might do differently next time
  4. Slide Four: Sustainability - what is being sustained at the end of the project and how
  5. Slide Five: Project Successes - share an image or photo reflecting an aspect of success

Highlights from the Canadian Child and Youth Trauma Consortium Symposium

Canadian Child and Youth Trauma Consortium.png

Anna-Lee and Sabry represented the Knowledge Hub (KH) at the Canadian Child and Youth Trauma Consortium Symposium to promote our upcoming conference. The event brought together more than 1,500 researchers, clinicians, and decision-makers from across the country to strengthen trauma-informed responses for children and youth. A key takeaway was the importance of dosage in intervention— finding the right balance to meet real needs without causing re-traumatization. Presentations by Bruce D. Perry and Dr. Delphine Collin-Vézina sparked powerful conversations around youth agency, relational care, and systems change.

We promoted the upcoming KH National Conference and connected with community of practice members including Marie-Ève Grisé-Bolduc, Jessica Martin, Jacinthe Dion.

Event Highlight Marie-Vincent Symposium

On June 3, 2025, the Marie-Vincent Symposium on Preventing Sexual Violence Among Children and Youth (0–17 years) was held in La Prairie, Quebec. The event gathered professionals and experts to explore concrete, developmentally appropriate strategies for prevention and intervention. The Boussole project by Marie-Vincent presented their work. Sabry connected with community of practice members including Mélanie Murphy, Jessica Martin and Myriam Elie Leblanc from the Compass project, and Alice Echaquan who works with Jacinthe Dion on the Kaskinomatasowin project.
